Dear River Park Soccer Club parents, coaches, and volunteers:
This page is to inform you about an important change regarding the River Park Soccer Club (RPSC) for the 2017 season. This year for recreational age groups U6-U14, RPSC will be playing under US Club rather than CYSA. Attached is a letter describing the reasons for this change if you are interested in this detail.
What does this mean for your child? It depends upon her/his age as follows:
What does this mean for you as parents? There will be no additional costs and you will not need to re-register. We will be wearing the same uniforms and the Club will have the same leadership. There will be fewer teams overall within the U10, U12, U14 age groups, but the Clubs against whom our teams will be playing have a long-standing reputation for fair play and are more geographically connected so there will be less travel. Please know that this change was made with unanimous approval from the RPSC Board and with input from our coaches. We are are willing to trade competitive parity for a more positive, safe playing environment.
The only additional requirement for you is to fill out a new US Club medical release form, which we need from every family as soon as possible. I have attached this release to your email for your convenience. Your coach will soon be in touch with you to secure these from you. Your child will not be able to play in any games without the signed US Club medical release.
Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have about this change.
Sincerely,
Matthew Battin
RPSC General Manager
